I’m Finally Living After Cancer

Excitement, anticipation, happiness. I feel all of these at the moment but I feel something more, too. I feel peace, serenity and safe. Yes, I feel safe that finally, my heart won’t be crushed. I feel safe my children no longer have to be scared of a monster. I and them feel safe. Why?

Read that again. Now, think about me, my trials and tribulations. I never thought I would be able to say those three words again but here I am.
